Rules and Regulations

The School has been established to cater to the educational requirements of the wards of Army personnel. Consequently, children of serving Army personnel coming on transfer from out station will not be denied admission at any time of the year subject to availability of seat and student qualifying in the Entrance Examination.

School admits boys and girls of above 03 years of age.

Age Limit

Where state rules are not being enforced, the age of a student on first admission to various classes in Army Public Schools shall be regulated as indicated below.

* As per mandate of NEP 2020 entry age for Class I has been revised to 6+ years with effect Academic Session 2023-24

@ To avoid disturbance of previous years.

A student coming from another recognized school shall not be admitted to a class higher than the one in which he/she was studying at his/her former school, unless promoted to the next higher class at the end of the academic session.

No provisional admission is permitted under any circumstances.

Priorities of Admission (Article 192 of Rules and Regulations for Army Public School)

The priorities for admission subject to availability of seats will be as under:-

Children of serving Army personnel including DSC(Ex-Army), children of Army widows, children of those TA personnel who have a minimum of 5 years embodied service and children of serving NCC Whole Time Lady Officer (WTLO)

Children of Ex-Army personnel retired/invalided out of medical grounds with pension, DSC personnel retired with pension from DSC and NCC Whole Time Lady Officer (WTLO) retired with pension.

Children of serving Air Force, Naval and Coast Guard personnel.

Children of retired Air Force, Naval Coast Guard personnel.

Children of Ex-Army personnel who left Army with less than 10 years of service and not categorized as ESM.

Children of civilian paid out of Defence Estimates, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), Assam Rifles, MES, GREF, TA (when not embodied).

Grand children of serving/retired Army personnel.

Other children.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR APSS IN LUCKNOW : SESSION 2024-25

1. There are three APSs in Lucknow Cantt. Contact details are as under:-

2. The Nodal Schools for admission process of Classes I to XII for session 2024-25 are as under:-

   a) Classes I – VIII : APS LBS Marg, Lucknow

   b) Classes IX to XII : APS Nehru Road, Lucknow .

APS LBS Marg Lucknow offers admission from Classes Nursery to XII. For admission in class Nur to UKG please visit school office of Pre Primary wing of APS LBS Branch between 10.00 am to 12.30 pm on school working days. Entry of visitors / parents is from Gate No. 4 near Surya Sainik Aram Grah.

3. Entrance Exam & School allotment

(i) No Entrance Exam for APS to APS TC cases.

(ii) Entrance Exam for Non APS cases will be conducted in respective Nodal School as per schedule uploaded on the Website.(click Here)

4. Check the result of School allotment for Classes Nur to VIII on our school website www.apslbslko.ac.in as per the schedule given.

5. For Students who have been allotted APS LBS Marg for classes Nur to XII. Parents are requested to visit school office and follow the given steps to complete the admission procedure.

  Step 1 : Collection of Admission Form / Prospectus from School Office.

  Step 2 : Submission of Documents with Admission Form / Prospectus in School Office. Documents required are as follows:-

   Transfer Certificate (TC) of last school studied - (Original)

   Progress card / marksheet of last class studied (photocopy)

   Copy of Aadhar Card of student

   Permanent Education Number (PEN) of student

   One Passport Photo of Student, Father & Mother.

FOR SERVING PERSONNEL

   Copy of serving certificate not older than 3 months

   Part II order copy of child OR Family details copy from online e-sheet roll that certifies Date of Birth & other details.

FOR EX SERVICEMEN

   Copy of Discharge Book (PHOTOCOPY)

Proof of Age

• In case of Defence Personnel, extract of their record of service, duly attested by their Commanding Officers, will be acepted as a conclusion proof of age of their children.

• Birth Certificate issued by Military/Civilian Hospitals as well as Municipalities/Village Panchayata will also be accepted.

Step 3 : Please collect the Fee Slip & Fee Book from the Admission Counter. Submit the fee at the Fee payment counter at School Gate No.1. After payment of fee show the fee payment slip at the Admission counter and collect your School Diary. The admission process is complete. Your ward can attend school from next working day
